Nasha Mukt J&K: Udhampur Police Host Drug Awareness Session at GHS Bobey
UDHAMPUR, April 16, 2026— As part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan”, the Udhampur Police organized a comprehensive drug awareness programme at Government High School (GHS) Bobey, located in the Majalta area.
This initiative serves as a critical step in the regional mission to sensitize the younger generation, faculty, and local residents about the escalating dangers of narcotics.
By focusing on grassroots education, the police department aims to build a resilient community capable of identifying and resisting the social and psychological triggers of substance abuse.
During the event, Station House Officer (SHO) Majalta, Abdul Satar, led an interactive session with the students, emphasizing that the battle against addiction requires collective vigilance rather than isolated enforcement.
He urged the youth to prioritize healthy lifestyle choices and act as ambassadors for the “Drug-Free J&K” mission within their own neighborhoods.
By highlighting the devastating health consequences of drug use, the programme encouraged participants to support de-addiction efforts and report illicit activities to safeguard their peers.
The Udhampur Police reiterated their steadfast commitment to protecting the district’s youth from the drug menace. Moving forward, the department plans to scale these educational outreach programmes across various educational institutions and rural hubs.
Through consistent engagement and community partnership, the police aim to foster a secure, addiction-free environment that ensures a brighter and healthier future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
