Manipur Security Forces Intensify Area Domination and Protect Essential Vehicle Convoys Along NH-37
IMPHAL, June 9: Security forces in Manipur have intensified their operations across the state, conducting extensive search operations and area domination exercises in fringe and vulnerable districts. In a coordinated effort to maintain law and order and ensure public safety, joint security teams have established a total of 113 nakas (checkpoints) at strategic locations across both the hill and valley regions. These checkpoints are being used to monitor transit, prevent unlawful activities, and stabilize high-risk areas.
Alongside active security patrols, authorities have successfully secured the movement of 260 commercial vehicles transporting essential commodities along National Highway 37 (NH-37). To prevent any disruptions to the supply chain, strict security measures have been deployed at all vulnerable locations along the transit route. Dedicated security convoys are actively accompanying the transport vehicles through sensitive stretches, ensuring the free, safe, and uninterrupted flow of vital supplies into the region.
