Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Launches 162 New Online Citizen Services on eUNNAT Portal
Srinagar, July 31, 2026 — Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo today launched 162 new district-level online citizen services on the eUNNAT portal during a high-level review meeting of the Information Technology Department. The addition expands the total number of online Government-to-Citizen services on the platform to 1,710 across 18 districts.
The newly onboarded services cover various regulatory permissions and public utilities, including approvals for cultural events, processions, and drone operations. Designed as a completely digital, paperless, and workflow-based platform, the initiative enables citizens to apply online, track status, and receive digitally signed approvals without visiting government offices.
During the meeting, Dulloo directed administrative departments to review online offerings and remove obsolete or redundant regulatory compliances under the Ease of Doing Business and Reducing Compliance Burden initiatives. Services that have been abolished under recent policy reforms will be categorized as “No Longer Required” on the portal.
Additionally, the IT Department was instructed to integrate at least 100 high-volume services with WhatsApp and Single Sign-On platforms, prioritizing access for farmers, tribal communities, women, and children, while preparing to integrate upcoming digital assets like AgriStack land records and SVAMITVA Property Cards.
The expansion has propelled Jammu and Kashmir to the 3rd position nationally in the National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment. IT officials highlighted that 159 additional services from various departments have already been integrated, with more currently undergoing testing.
Once fully operationalized, the total service count on the eUNNAT portal will reach 1,724. Future plans discussed at the meeting include leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, multilingual interfaces, face authentication, and digital signatures to enhance user accessibility.
