Crime Branch Jammu Intervenes to Ensure Installation of Solar Panels for Ex-Servicemen
JAMMU, APRIL 25: The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Jammu has successfully facilitated the redressal of a grievance involving three ex-servicemen regarding the non-installation of rooftop solar panels.
Complainants Rajinder Kumar, Vinod Badhkulia, and Jagdesh Chander had alleged that they collectively deposited 7,75,500 rupees into the account of Javeed Ahmed Dar, proprietor of M/S Friends Electrical Mechanical Electronics, in February 2025 for solar installations at their residences.
Despite receiving full payment, the vendor had failed to execute the work, prompting the victims to seek legal intervention to recover their investment or complete the project.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Crime Branch initiated a formal enquiry and summoned the vendor to address the pending obligations. Following the direct intervention and instructions from the enquiry officer, the vendor proceeded to complete the installations, which are now fully functional at all three locations.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch Jammu, Faisal Qureshi, noted that the timely action effectively safeguarded the hard-earned money of the ex-servicemen.
He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to protecting public trust and urged citizens to remain vigilant and report similar financial discrepancies or service failures to the authorities promptly.
