Central Command Chief Reviews Operational Readiness and Inaugurates New Facilities in Meerut

MEERUT, April 24, 2026 – Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Command, recently conducted a comprehensive visit to the Headquarters Pashchim UP Sub Area and the Remount Veterinary Corps Centre and College at Meerut Station.

During his visit, the Army Commander performed a detailed review of operational preparedness, hinterland security protocols, and various welfare initiatives aimed at supporting troops, their families, and the ex-servicemen community.

To further improve living standards and healthcare access for personnel, he inaugurated several new infrastructure projects, including a Military Engineer Services inspection bungalow and a modern Medical Inspection room.

The visit continued at the Equine Breeding Stud in Babugarh, where Lt Gen Sengupta examined the latest advancements in equine operations and specialized breeding practices. He received detailed briefings on current farming activities and observed the implementation of modern farm management systems and innovative techniques designed to enhance quality and efficiency.

Concluding his tour, the Army Commander praised the professionalism of all ranks and encouraged the continued integration of niche technologies and innovative practices to ensure the force maintains a decisive operational advantage in the region.
