Ayodhya Airport Conducts High Intensity Counter Terrorist Mock Exercise to Test Security Readiness

AYODHYA, April 18, 2026A high-intensity Counter Terrorist Contingency Mock Exercise (CTME) was successfully carried out at Ayodhya Airport in Uttar Pradesh to evaluate the strategic preparedness of various security forces.

The exercise was designed to simulate real-world emergency scenarios, allowing responders to test their capabilities against evolving security threats while reinforcing seamless coordination between local and national agencies.

By creating a controlled environment for crisis management, the drill ensured that all stakeholders are equipped to handle potential disruptions to aviation safety with speed and precision.

The operation saw active participation from a diverse group of agencies, including the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Quick Reaction Team and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Special Operations Group, and the local police.

Additional support was provided by the State Fire and Medical services, the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the Intelligence Bureau (IB), and various airline partners.

This collaborative effort highlighted a strong inter-agency synergy, demonstrating that the CISF and its partners remain steadfast in their commitment to safeguarding critical infrastructure through vigilant, coordinated action.
