Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi Receives New Books on National Security and Military Leadership
NEW DELHI, June 17, 2026 — Chief of the Army Staff Upendra Dwivedi was presented with a diverse collection of new publications offering insights into military excellence, national security, strategic thought, and future challenges shaping the security environment.
The presented titles cover a wide range of topics from digital warfare to environmental security and institutional history.Among the books presented was a two-volume set titled The Sports Legends of Defence Services and CAPF by Vaneeta Vaid, which celebrates the achievements of 80 sportspersons from the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces.
Another title, Information Warfare: Battleground of the Digital Age by Rahul Pandit, examines the evolving nature of digital conflicts, focusing on the challenges of misinformation, cyber threats, and psychological operations.The collection also featured India’s Water Security – Threats, Strategies and Solutions by Major General Akash Kaushik, which analyzes the strategic implications of water resource management.
Lieutenant Colonel Herald Ford Mochari presented Echoes From Academy Lines, a book capturing the leadership lessons and camaraderie forged at the National Defence Academy. Additionally, Shivam Arya presented Defence Reimagined: 33 Domains to Revolutionise National Security, which explores emerging technologies and strategic doctrines aimed at building a self-reliant defense architecture.
