Illegal Sand Dumpers Seized Near Khugga Morh

Akhnoor 12 December :-  In a significant enforcement move, District Mineral Officer (DMO) Naveen Kumar and his team seized multiple illegal sand-laden dumpers that were coming from the Pargwal area and were intercepted near Khugga Morh (TCP No. 4). The swift action by the DMO’s team has been widely appreciated for its firm stand against illegal mining and unauthorized transportation of sand.

However, the incident has also raised serious concerns. Despite several police checkpoints located on the route from Pargwal to Khugga, no action was taken by the officers posted there, allowing the vehicles to pass unchecked. It is a matter of worry that these dumpers were stopped only after DMO Naveen Kumar and his team travelled from Jammu and finally intercepted them near Khugga No.4

The effective operation carried out by the DMO’s team highlights their dedication towards curbing illegal mining activities, and their efforts deserve commendation.
