Jammu 14th August :- In response to the deteriorating weather conditions and recent cloudburst-triggered flash floods in parts of Kishtwar, including Chosoti village of Paddar, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti, has directed the activation of emergency control rooms and help desks across the district. The District Police Kishtwar, in coordination with the administration, has placed all sub-divisions on high alert, with dedicated teams deployed to handle emergencies arising from heavy rain, landslides, floods, or road blockages.
Multiple helpline numbers have been issued for public assistance, including the District Control Room (01995-259555, 9484217492), PCR Kishtwar (9906154100, 100), and area-specific contacts for sub-divisions like Paddar, Marwah, and Dachhan.
Citizens and pilgrims, especially in vulnerable zones, are urged to remain cautious, avoid high-risk areas, and utilize the helplines if needed. Authorities have emphasized that public safety remains their top priority amid the ongoing weather challenges.
