Dr Sanjeev Sinha Appointed AIIMS Jammu Director, Meets Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh

JAMMU, AUGUST 08, 2026: Newly appointed Executive Director of AIIMS Jammu, Dr Sanjeev Sinha, paid a courtesy visit to Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh following his appointment to lead the premier medical institution.During the interaction, Dr Sinha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for reposing faith in his academic and administrative leadership to head the upcoming healthcare landmark in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr Sanjeev Sinha, who previously served as Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at AIIMS New Delhi, brings decades of clinical expertise, extensive medical research, and institutional management to his new role.Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh commended Dr Sinha’s long and distinguished innings at AIIMS New Delhi and expressed confidence that his tenure would successfully introduce the premier institute’s high academic, research, and healthcare standards to AIIMS Jammu.

The appointment of Dr Sinha as Executive Director was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for a tenure of three years on deputation. His leadership is expected to accelerate the development of advanced clinical infrastructure, medical education programs, and specialized patient care services at the AIIMS Vijaypur campus in Samba, Jammu.
