Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan Begins Two-Day Visit to Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Radhakrishnan arrived at INS Utkrosh in Sri Vijaya Puram for a two-day official visit across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.Upon his arrival at the naval base, he was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Governor Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi (Retd.), together with senior administration officials and distinguished dignitaries.Following his arrival, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by defense personnel at the facility.
The high-profile itinerary encompasses major national programs and historical tributes throughout the Union Territory. Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan visited the historic Cellular Jail National Memorial to pay homage at the Martyrs’ Column, offer respects at the Swatantrata Jyoti, and inspect Veer Savarkar’s Cell.His scheduled events also feature attending a light and sound show chronicling India’s freedom struggle, participating in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign at Flag Point, and visiting Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island before completing his tour.
