Jammu Police Arrest Man Under Public Safety Act

Jammu, July 31, 2026 — Jammu Rural Police executed a Public Safety Act detention warrant and arrested a man from a hotel in the city during a late-night operation.Acting on directions from senior officials, a team from Police Post Jourian conducted a planned raid around 2:00 AM at a hotel in Hari Market.

Police apprehended Ashok Singh, a resident of Dhanwal in Tehsil Jourian, who was later shifted to District Jail Udhampur.Police stated that the execution of the warrant underscores their ongoing efforts to enforce preventive detention orders and maintain public order across the district.
