DG SSB Sanjay Singhal Reviews Amarnath Yatra Security and Operational Preparedness in Baramulla

PATTAN, July 18, 2026 — Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal Sanjay Singhal visited the 2nd Battalion SSB in Pattan, Baramulla, to comprehensively review security arrangements and operational preparedness for the ongoing Amarnath Ji Yatra. During the high-level visit, Singhal inspected the battalion campus, addressed a Sainik Sammelan, and directly interacted with officers and jawans. He closely evaluated the strategic deployment of SSB troops along the pilgrimage routes, focusing heavily on security protocols at transit camps, naka points, and other vulnerable locations.

Commending the forces on the ground, the Director General expressed deep appreciation for the dedication and professionalism displayed by the personnel. Singhal emphasized that maintaining a high state of vigilance, strict discipline, and effective crowd management are critical to the mission’s success. He further stressed the necessity of seamless, close coordination with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the Jammu & Kashmir Police, and other key stakeholders to guarantee a safe, secure, and smooth pilgrimage for all devotees.
