Indian Army and ITBP Conduct Joint Drone and Counter-Drone Training in Arunachal Pradesh
HAYULIANG, ARUNACHAL PRADESH — JULY 12, 2026: In a significant move to bolster border security and enhance modern warfare capabilities, the Dao Division under the Spear Corps of the Indian Army conducted a comprehensive two-week Joint Drone and Counter-Drone Training program. Held at Lohit NEST in Hayuliang, Arunachal Pradesh, the intensive training session was organized in collaboration with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
The dual-language announcement highlighted that the program successfully advanced the technical proficiency of personnel in crucial areas, including tactical drone operations, strategic mission planning, aerial surveillance, equipment maintenance, and cutting-edge counter-drone defensive measures.
By integrating the expertise of both the army and the paramilitary forces, the initiative has substantially strengthened inter-agency interoperability and joint operational readiness, ensuring a swift and coordinated response to emerging aerial challenges along the forward border regions.
