Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026: 11th Batch of 9,153 Pilgrims Departs from Jammu for Baltal and Pahalgam Routes

Jammu, July 12, 2026: The 11th batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 departed from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas, Jammu Base Camp, in the early hours of Sunday under tight security arrangements.
A total of 9,153 pilgrims left for the holy cave shrine through the twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam in a convoy comprising 359 vehicles.
According to the official details, 3,429 pilgrims proceeded towards the Baltal Axis at 2:44 a.m., while 5,724 pilgrims departed for the Pahalgam Axis at 3:35 a.m.
The batch included 6,522 male pilgrims, 2,233 female pilgrims, 18 children, 267 sadhus, 112 sadhvis, and one sadhu child. No foreign pilgrims or transgender yatris were part of the convoy.
The convoy consisted of 196 buses, 53 medium motor vehicles (MMVs), 108 light motor vehicles (LMVs), and two two-wheelers, ensuring the safe movement of pilgrims to the twin base camps.
Security personnel escorted the convoy throughout its journey as authorities continued to implement comprehensive safety and logistical arrangements for the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has been witnessing a steady flow of devotees, with thousands of pilgrims reaching the Himalayan shrine each day to offer prayers at the naturally formed ice Shivling of Lord Shiva.
