Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 tenth batch departs Jammu pilgrims Baltal Pahalgam route

JAMMU, July 11, 2026: The tenth batch of the annual Amarnath Yatra departed from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Jammu early Saturday morning under tight security arrangements.

A total of 9,182 pilgrims left for the holy cave shrine via the twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam. The official schedule confirmed that the Baltal convoy moved out at 3:30 AM, followed by the Pahalgam convoy at 4:19 AM.Official data revealed that 3,305 pilgrims are traveling through the Baltal axis, while 5,877 devotees chose the traditional Pahalgam route.

The departing batch includes 6,455 men, 2,389 women, 31 children, 256 sadhus, 46 sadhvis, and 5 foreign nationals, showing the deep enthusiasm among national and international devotees.

Authorities deployed a fleet of 333 vehicles to facilitate the smooth transport of the pilgrims. The convoy consists of 196 buses, 43 medium motor vehicles, 91 light motor vehicles, and 2 two-wheelers.

The entire movement is being conducted under a comprehensive security cover and logistical framework to guarantee the safety and well-being of the yatris during their journey.

The pilgrimage continues to see a steady rush of devotees from various parts of the country. Administrative and security agencies have set up robust traffic management systems, medical aid stations, and security checkpoints along both tracks to ensure the successful and smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
