Three Central Reserve Police Force personnel injured in Srinagar road accident

SRINAGAR, July 8: Three Central Reserve Police Force personnel deployed for the ongoing Amarnath Ji Yatra were injured after an unidentified vehicle hit them near the Taingan Bypass in the Nowgam area of Srinagar on Wednesday.

Officials stated that the hit-and-run incident involved personnel belonging to the D Company of the 148 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force while they were on duty in the area.

Following the incident, the injured security personnel were immediately evacuated and shifted to Ujala Cygnus Hospital in Nowgam for medical treatment.

Hospital sources have reported that their condition is currently stable. The identities of the three personnel were not immediately available, and the local police have taken official cognisance of the incident to launch a thorough investigation into the matter.
