J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha directs Doda administration to provide immediate relief after Thathri cloudburst

SRINAGAR, Jul 7: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is closely monitoring the situation following a cloudburst in the Thathri area of Doda district.

He spoke directly with Doda Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal to assess the ground reality and directed the administration to ensure immediate relief and assistance to the affected families.

He also instructed officials to expedite restoration work in the impacted area to minimize inconvenience to residents.The Lieutenant Governor confirmed that while several houses and shops suffered damage due to the natural event, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

He emphasized the urgency of clearing the affected infrastructure and directed the Deputy Commissioner to prioritize the immediate clearance of National Highway 244 to restore smooth traffic connectivity.
