SRINAGAR, July 07, 2026: The ongoing annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 is witnessing an unprecedented surge of devotees from across India, with the total number of pilgrims crossing the one-lakh mark in just the first five days of the pilgrimage. A cumulative total of 1,08,735 pilgrims have successfully performed darshan at the sacred holy cave shrine so far.

The momentum remained exceptionally strong today, as 22,956 pilgrims offered their prayers at the cave shrine by 4:00 PM. This single-day influx significantly added to the 85,779 devotees who had already visited the holy site up until yesterday, reflecting the immense spiritual fervor surrounding this year’s yatra.

Following their prayers, the latest batch of pilgrims began their descent back toward the twin base camps of Baltal and Pahalgam. Reports from the ground indicate a massive rush of devotees at both base camps, as well as at various transit halting stations along both pilgrimage routes.

The entire yatra corridor is currently experiencing heightened activity and heavy movement. Thousands of fresh pilgrims continue to arrive daily from diverse parts of the country to undertake this sacred journey, backed by the administration’s elaborate security measures and robust logistical arrangements.
