Srinagar Police honor six retiring officers at District Police Lines farewell ceremony

SRINAGAR, July 5, 2026:- Srinagar Police organized a farewell ceremony at the District Police Lines to honor six police personnel on their superannuation, recognizing their long and dedicated service to the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The retiring personnel included SI Abdul Aziz Wagay, SI Reyaz Ahmad Rather, SI Mohammed Saleem Pala, ASI Kulwant Singh, ASI Bashir Ahmad Batloo, and SgCt Riyaz Ahmad Khan. Throughout their careers, these individuals served the department with professionalism, discipline, and a commitment to maintaining public safety and regional peace.

Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, paid tribute to the retiring officers and expressed deep appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the force. He commended their integrity and selfless service, noting that their experience would inspire younger generations of police personnel.

The ceremony was attended by zonal superintendents, the deputy superintendent of headquarters, the deputy superintendent of DAR, and other senior officers who gathered to express their gratitude.

As a mark of appreciation, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to each retiree by the Senior Superintendent of Police to acknowledge their distinguished service and outstanding contributions to the department.
