Over 3,000 runners participate in Sarhad Shauryathon 2026 at Kargil War Memorial in Dras

DRAS, July 5, 2026The Sarhad Shauryathon 2026 took place at the iconic Kargil War Memorial in Dras, bringing together more than 3,000 runners to honor the valor and supreme sacrifice of the fallen soldiers of the Kargil War.

The event saw widespread participation from local residents, runners from across the country, and Indian Army personnel.

Organised through the collaborative efforts of the Indian Army, Civil Administration, Sarhad Foundation, Arham Foundation, and local stakeholders, the marathon highlighted a strong civil-military partnership while celebrating courage, remembrance, and the resilient spirit of the people of Ladakh.
