Minister Sakeena Itoo hosts public outreach camp in Kulgam and reviews Muharram arrangements at Shahoo

KULGAM, June 13, 2026 :-Minister for Education, Health and Social Welfare, Sakeena Itoo, visited Kulgam to hold a public darbar at Yaripora, where she interacted directly with local residents to assess their grievances and developmental concerns.

During the outreach camp, citizens from various parts of the district raised issues regarding public infrastructure, civic amenities, healthcare services, education, and other community welfare matters.

The Minister assured the gathering that their genuine grievances would be addressed in a time-bound manner through structured coordination with the respective departments, emphasizing that the government remains dedicated to public welfare and regional development.

MLA Devsar Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah was also present at the event, reiterating the administration’s commitment to public betterment and highlighting specific developmental requirements needed for the area. The public darbar served as a platform to bridge the gap between residents and the administration, ensuring that local voices are incorporated into the regional governance and development planning process.

Following the outreach camp, the Minister traveled to Shahoo to personally inspect the arrangements being put in place for the upcoming observance of Muharram-ul-Haram. She conducted a comprehensive review of preparations concerning essential services, including sanitation drives, uninterrupted drinking water supply, electricity availability, healthcare facilities, and efficient traffic management to ensure the smooth conduct of the religious observance.

While interacting with sectoral officers, Sakeena Itoo directed all departments to work in close coordination and complete all necessary field arrangements well in advance. She emphasized the importance of maintaining seamless public utility services and providing all required facilities to the mourners during the holy occasion.
