Jammu and Kashmir Civil Supplies: Director FCS&CA Conducts Field Inspection Tour of Bani and Basohli to Review Essential Goods

JAMMU, MAY 29 — In an effort to strengthen field outreach with consumers and department employees, Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Jammu, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, conducted a comprehensive two-day inspection tour of the Basohli and Bani regions. During the visit, Shavan engaged directly with local staff to gather firsthand information on operational efficiency and thoroughly reviewed the distribution and availability of essential food supplies. In Basohli, the director inspected regional food stores and fair price shops while interacting with local consumers to collect direct feedback on the delivery of civil supplies.

Continuing the assessment in Bani, the director scrutinized storage facilities, fair price shops, and gas distribution outlets. Shavan directed all department officials to work with absolute dedication and transparency to ensure public satisfaction, while issuing a stern warning against unfair market trade practices. Officials were instructed to enforce regular market check-ups and product sampling. This visit forms a critical part of Shavan’s broader five-day field tour spanning Kathua, Basohli, Bani, Lawang Sarthal, Bhaderwah, and Chirala in Doda, aimed at monitoring department functions and collaborating closely with consumers, traders, and regional stakeholders.
