Shri Amarnath ji Yatra 2026: Jammu SSP Joginder Singh Reviews Security at Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp
JAMMU, MAY 29 ,2026 — In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra scheduled to begin on July 3, 2026, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, visited the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp to conduct a comprehensive review of the security and logistical arrangements. During the high-level visit, Singh inspected the security deployment and held detailed discussions with officers from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the civil administration. The review meeting focused heavily on establishing a robust security strategy, efficient crowd management, traffic regulation, heightened surveillance mechanisms, and seamless emergency response preparedness to ensure the safety and convenience of all arriving pilgrims.
Stressing the critical importance of a secure and smooth pilgrimage, Singh directed all deployed officers and officials to maintain the highest levels of alertness and inter-agency coordination throughout the Yatra period. The SSP emphasized that all infrastructural and logistical arrangements must be completed on time, with a strong focus on providing hassle-free assistance, proper facilities, and smooth movement for the devotees. All stakeholder agencies were instructed to work in close synchronization to guarantee a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for everyone undertaking the holy annual pilgrimage.
