Reasi Police Apprehend Long-Absconding History-Sheeter in Swift Operation
REASI, April 15, 2026:- In a significant success for law enforcement, the Reasi Police, under the leadership of SSP Mukund Tibrewal (IPS), successfully tracked down and arrested a long-evading history-sheeter.
The accused, identified as Sachin Singh, son of the late Karan Singh and a resident of Gran Morh, Reasi, had been on the run in connection with FIR No. 160/2025 registered at Police Station Reasi.
Despite being declared a formal absconder by the Hon’ble Sessions Court Reasi, with warrants issued under Section 299 of the BNSS, the individual managed to evade authorities until a coordinated tactical intervention led to his capture.
The high-stakes operation was executed by a specialized team led by SHO Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria, working under the direct supervision of DySP Headquarters Vishal Singh Jamwal and Additional SP Reasi, Iftekhar Ahmed (JKPS).
By leveraging technical surveillance and acting on credible human intelligence, the police team pinpointed the suspect’s location and apprehended him without incident. Following the arrest, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings.
Reasi Police have reaffirmed their zero-tolerance policy toward fugitives, warning that stringent measures will continue against those attempting to bypass the legal system to ensure the rule of law remains absolute.
