Reasi Police Intensify Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan: Massive Anti-Drug Rallies and Enforcement Drives Sweep District
REASI, APRIL 11, 2026 — In a decisive move to combat the growing threat of narcotics, the District Police Reasi, led by SSP Mukund Tibrewal, executed a comprehensive district-wide campaign under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
The initiative featured large-scale awareness rallies in key locations, including Darmari (Arnas), Mahore, Malikote, Katra, and Bhawan. These events saw a massive turnout, with students, civil administration officials, Shrine Board staff, and police personnel joining hundreds of local citizens to broadcast a unified message against drug abuse.
Beyond the rallies, specialized awareness programs were held at Government Higher Secondary School Gota and Police Station Ransoo, where students and Palki or Pony operators were educated on the severe health, social, and legal ramifications of drug consumption.
To complement these educational efforts, police teams simultaneously launched a crackdown on the ground, conducting widespread inspections of chemist shops and intensifying patrolling across the district to prevent the misuse of pharmaceutical drugs.
Reaffirming their zero-tolerance policy, the Reasi Police emphasized that they will continue to combine strict enforcement with active public outreach to ensure the total eradication of the drug menace from the region.
