Assam Rifles Rescues Road Accident Victims in Manipur’s Senapati District Following NH-2 Mishap

SENAPATI, February 02, 2026: Demonstrating its commitment as the “Sentinels of the North-East,” the Assam Rifles provided critical humanitarian assistance following a serious road accident on National Highway-2 near Karong Ground in the Senapati district of Manipur.

The incident occurred when a vehicle skidded off the highway and plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving the occupants trapped and injured. Responding with characteristic speed, Assam Rifles troops launched a rigorous three-hour rescue operation to reach the victims and extricate the damaged vehicle from the difficult terrain.

After providing immediate aid to the injured, the troops ensured the safe recovery and transport of the vehicle to Senapati.
