Delhi Police arrest hit and run accused who injured traffic cop at Sarai Jullena
NEW DELHI, June 13, 2026 :- The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has arrested a hit-and-run accused following an intensive 48-hour manhunt. The individual is accused of deliberately striking a traffic police official with a speeding vehicle while the officer was enforcing traffic rules at Sarai Jullena.
The injured official was left on the road following the incident.Investigators tracked down and identified the suspect through a combination of meticulous CCTV footage analysis, technical surveillance, and field intelligence.
The Crime Branch successfully apprehended the accused within 2 days of the incident and has also recovered the offending vehicle involved in the crime.
The successful operation was led by Inspector Mahipal Singh under the direct guidance of ACP Satendra Mohan. The entire investigation and arrest were conducted under the overall supervision of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
