Jammu Police Foil Gold Shop Heist; 4 Arrested in R.S. Pura Burglary Attempt

JAMMU, January 11, 2026The Jammu Police have successfully dismantled a gang involved in an attempted high-stakes burglary at a jewelry store in R.S. Pura.

The case was initiated following a complaint by Attu Shah, owner of M/S Bhola Ornaments, who reported that burglars tried to breach the shop’s security locks on the night of January 8-9.

Although the suspects failed to gain entry, the R.S. Pura Police promptly registered Case FIR No. 07/2026 under Sections 303(2) and 62 of the BNS to track down the perpetrators.A high-level investigative team, led by SHO Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu, utilized technical surveillance and local intelligence to crack the case.

The operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects: Pardeep Kumar, Kishan Kumar, and Arjun Kumar—all originally from Bihar—alongside local accomplice Sudesh Kumar (alias T.T.).

By neutralizing this group, the police have prevented potential future heists in the area. Authorities continue to urge business owners to enhance their security protocols and report any suspicious movements to ensure community safety.
