J&K BJP President Sat Sharma Urges MLAs to Forcefully Raise Public Issues in Upcoming Assembly Session

JAMMU, January 04, 2026: Jammu & Kashmir BJP President and MP Sat Sharma chaired a high-level meeting of party legislators at the Trikuta Nagar headquarters to strategize for the forthcoming Assembly Session.

Addressing the MLAs, Sharma emphasized the critical need to aggressively question the government and ensure the genuine concerns of common citizens are effectively presented on the floor of the House. He further urged legislators to increase their public outreach (Pravas), staying constantly among the people to ensure swift redressal of their grievances while remaining vigilant regarding evolving socio-political issues in the Union Territory.

During the session, Sharma also expressed gratitude for the Centre’s ₹1430 crore relief package, noting that this liberal assistance for rain and flood-affected districts in the Jammu region highlights the Modi government’s commitment to supporting affected families.

The meeting, which featured insights from General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul and was attended by all BJP legislators led by Surjit Singh Salathia, focused heavily on organizational discipline and grassroots connectivity.

Ashok Koul stressed the importance of daily interactions between elected representatives and party workers to maintain a responsive and united organization. Supporting this stance, Surjit Singh Salathia affirmed that BJP legislators are fully prepared to tackle both constituency-specific and broader regional matters during the session.

The legislators concluded the meeting by discussing strategic approaches to represent the interests of Jammu and Kashmir effectively, adhering to the party’s governance philosophy of strong public connection.
