JPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Jammu, Kathua, and Kishtwar
JAMMU, January 03,2026 : The Chief Engineer (Distribution) of JPDCL Jammu has notified residents of several scheduled power outages starting January 4, 2024, to facilitate essential maintenance and system upgrades.
On January 4, industrial and residential hubs including Ghatti Industry, Logate Industry, IID Kathua, Budhi, Barnoti, Nagri, Rajbagh, and Marheen will experience a shutdown from 10 am to 4 pm. Simultaneously, Kishtwar Town and its neighboring areas will face a power cut from 10 am to 3 pm.
In Jammu city, Bakshi Nagar, Rajpura, Gurha, Rehari, and Sarwal are scheduled for a shutdown from 10 am to 12:30 pm, while the Domana, Nagbani, and Chibay areas will see power interruptions later in the afternoon from 3 pm to 5:30 pm.
Additionally, the Old City areas, including Gujjar Nagar, Peer Mitha, Peer Khoo, Mast Garh, and Julakha Mohalla, will remain affected on January 4 from 9 am to 1 pm. Looking ahead to January 6, the power supply to Pargwal, Bhalwal, Mathwar, and adjoining BSF locations will be suspended from 9 am to 2 pm.
Furthermore, the Superintending Engineer of O&M Circle-III, Batote, has announced intermittent shutdowns for Nachlana, Sherbibi, Khari, and Hanjoos on January 4, 6, and 8 from 11 am to 4 pm. Consumers are advised to plan their daily activities accordingly to minimize inconvenience during these technical improvement windows.
