447 New BSF Recruits Inducted as ‘Seema Praharis’ at STC Humhama Passing Out Parade

SRINAGAR, Jan 3: A grand passing out parade and attestation ceremony for 447 recruit constables of Batch Nos. 128, 129, and 130 was held today at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) BSF Humhama in Kashmir.

Solomon Yash Kumar Minz, Inspector General of STC BSF Kashmir, graced the occasion as the chief guest, inspecting the parade and taking the salute from the newly inducted personnel. The ceremony marked the successful completion of 44 weeks of rigorous training, during which the recruits from across the country were transformed into disciplined “Seema Praharis” (Border Guardians), proficient in weapons handling, border management, and counter-insurgency operations.

Addressing the graduates, IG Solomon Yash Kumar Minz lauded the recruits for their exceptional display of coordination and self-confidence, encouraging them to serve the nation with unwavering courage and integrity.

He also commended the instructional staff for their dedication in molding the raw recruits into a professional force capable of meeting modern security challenges.

The event was attended by senior BSF officers, proud family members who witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.

Trophies and medals were awarded to top performers of the batches for their excellence in various indoor and outdoor training disciplines, marking a significant milestone in their career with India’s primary border-guarding force.
