JAMMU, DECEMBER 23: The Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha organized a commemorative event today at Mahajan Bhawan, Shalamar Road, to pay floral tributes to Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan on his 136th birth anniversary.
During the ceremony, President Romesh Chander Gupta highlighted the historic achievements of Justice Mahajan, who was born on December 23, 1889, and served as the third Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India.
He was also the first Prime Minister of the state of Jammu and Kashmir under Maharaja Hari Singh and played a pivotal role in the state’s accession to India.
The proceedings were managed by General Secretary Sanjay Mahajan, while Senior Vice President Shiv Partap Gupta delivered the vote of thanks in the presence of various prominent members including Ram Sarup Gupta, Surinder Gupta, and Balbir Gupta.
