Terrorist Associate Arrested in Wuyan Khrew; Arms and Ammunition Recovered by Security Forces

AWANTIPORA, DECEMBER 22: In a major breakthrough against the terror ecosystem, the Awantipora Police, in a joint operation with the Army’s 50RR and CRPF 185 Bn, arrested a terrorist associate during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Wuyan Khrew area.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Javid Ahmad Hajam, son of Abdul Rashid Hajam and a resident of Gulab Bagh, Tral. During the search, security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from his possession, including one pistol and five live pistol rounds. Preliminary investigations reveal that Hajam played a critical role in providing logistical support and facilitating the transportation of weaponry to active terrorists operating across the Pampore, Tral, and Awantipora sectors.
Following the arrest, a case under the relevant sections of law has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway to uncover further links and potential terror modules in the region.
