Infrastructure Revolution: Dr. Pardeep Mahotra Credits PM Modi for Transforming J&K into a Connectivity and Security Hub

JAMMU, DECEMBER 21, 2025: Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge of J&K BJP, stated today that the liberal and consistent central funding under the Narendra Modi-led government has fundamentally reshaped the economic and strategic landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.

Responding to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s recent acknowledgment of enhanced central allocations, Dr. Pardeep noted that this support has achieved what remained a distant dream for decades under previous regimes. He highlighted the recent historic arrival of a food-grain freight train directly into the Kashmir Valley as a game-changer for supply-chain efficiency, significantly reducing costs and time compared to traditional road transport from Punjab.

This milestone, he emphasized, not only ensures regional food security but also integrates the Union Territory more deeply into the national logistics network.Beyond economic benefits, Dr. Pardeep underscored the strategic significance of the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab River, which recently facilitated the induction of tanks and artillery via military special trains. He remarked that such robust infrastructure serves as a glaring example of India’s modernized defense preparedness and operational capability along sensitive borders.

The BJP leader further detailed the extensive development of healthcare and education, citing the establishment of new medical colleges and two AIIMS campuses at Jammu and Awantipora. From the completion of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) to the revitalization of tourism destinations, Dr. Pardeep affirmed that the Modi government’s vision has successfully synchronized peace, national security, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth of J&K.
