Bijbehara 18 December :-In a major push to fortify regional security, the Anantnag Police intensified vehicle checking operations along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44) this Thursday.
Law enforcement teams established a high-security checkpoint (naka) near Donipora Sangam in the Bijbehara area to monitor all incoming and outgoing traffic. This proactive measure is part of a broader strategy to ensure the safety of commuters on the vital highway and to tighten the security grid across the district.
To maximize the effectiveness of the search operation, the police integrated the specialized K9 Dog Squad into the checking process. The deployment of sniffer dogs provides a sophisticated layer of detection, specifically aimed at deterring and uncovering any nefarious designs by anti-national elements.
Authorities have reiterated their steadfast commitment to maintaining a peaceful environment and have urged the general public to cooperate during these security drills. By strengthening presence at strategic locations like Bijbehara, the Anantnag Police aim to ensure a secure and incident-free passage for all travelers on the national highway.
