Udhampur Police Arrest Two Drug Peddlers with Heroin Near Roun Domail

UDHAMPUR, April 14, 2026— As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, the Udhampur Police successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of drug peddling near Roun Domail Chowk.

While on routine patrol, a team from Police Post Roun Domail intercepted the two suspects, identified as Irfan and Waseem, both residents of Jakhani, after they attempted to flee upon seeing the officers. A subsequent search led to the recovery of approximately 11 grams of heroin, with the suspects carrying 5.45 grams and 5.54 grams respectively.

Following the seizure, authorities registered a case under the NDPS Act at the Udhampur Police Station, and a formal investigation is currently underway to trace further links.

This operation is part of a broader crackdown on narcotics in the region, reflecting the department’s commitment to eliminating the drug menace through active patrolling and community vigilance.
