Srinagar Power Outage Schedule: KPDCL Announces Scheduled Grid Shutdowns Across Multiple Areas

SRINAGAR, JUNE 07,2026 — The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and grid work. According to the Chief Engineer of Distribution at KPDCL, the 33 KV Rawalpora Airforce line will undergo a shutdown on June 10, 2026, disrupting electricity supply to Peerbagh, Humhama, Sheikhpora, Friends Colony, Humhuma Heights, Hyderpora, and adjacent localities from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM. Additionally, power supply to Arizal, Doodhpathri, Rayiyar, and neighboring regions will be temporarily suspended on June 11, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM due to a planned outage on the 33 KV Arizal Tapline.

Further maintenance schedules indicate that the 33 KV Khanda Tapline will be shut down on June 17, 2026, which will affect electricity supply in Wagoora, Khanda, Sanzipora, and surrounding areas between 09:00 AM and 03:00 PM. This will be followed by a shutdown of the 33 KV Watrewani Tapline on June 18, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM, impacting residents in Sholipora, Labertal, Perisabad, Dadina, and adjoining sectors. Later in the month, a scheduled outage on the 33 KV GIS Tengpora Court line on June 21, 2026, will suspend power to Moominabad, Batamaloo Ada, Lower Court, Tengpora Chowk, and nearby areas during the same six-hour window. Meanwhile, KPDCL authorities have officially cancelled the previously approved shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam Line, which was originally slated for June 8, 2026, citing unforeseen operational exigencies.
