RAMBAN/UDHAMPUR, July 07 2026: In a comprehensive review of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 arrangements, the Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, conducted an extensive inspection tour of the Chanderkote Yatra Camp in Ramban and multiple lodgement centres and langar sites across Udhampur. Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, and Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, the Div Com personally evaluated the operational readiness of essential services intended for the transit pilgrims. At the Chanderkote Camp in Ramban, he meticulously checked critical amenities including power and drinking water supplies, sanitation standards, medical infrastructure, overall security protocols, and food safety compliance at local langars, while receiving a detailed brief on welfare and safety measures from the Ramban district administration.

Continuing his assessment in Udhampur, the Divisional Commissioner visited key transit hubs and community kitchens established along the National Highway to ensure the seamless execution of civic and healthcare services. During the visit, Kumar directly interacted with the Yatris to gauge their experience first-hand, receiving highly positive feedback regarding the hospitality, hygiene, and efficiency maintained by the local administration. To ensure the momentum is sustained, the Div Com directed both district administrations to maintain an uninterrupted supply of utilities and high cleanliness standards through strict multi-departmental coordination for the remainder of the pilgrimage season. Senior officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Prem Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban Varunjeet Singh Charak, and NHAI Project Director Shubham Yadav, alongside senior police and department heads, were also present to facilitate the comprehensive review.
