NIA Attaches Land of Accused in 2020 Pulwama Terror Case
PULWAMA, April 23, 2026 — In a significant move against terror-related infrastructure, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached the immovable property of an accused individual in the Rajpora area of Pulwama district. The operation took place in the Abhama-Draklarun locality, where NIA officials executed the attachment of land measuring three kanals and four marlas belonging to Tanveer Ahmad Wani, also known as “Bardana.”
This legal action was carried out under Section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967, following a specific order issued by the Special NIA Court in Jammu on January 2, 2026.The attachment is linked to case RC-01/2020/NIA/JMU, which involves a deep-rooted conspiracy involving terrorist elements and their associates within Jammu and Kashmir.
The case, originally registered in 2020, focuses on allegations of providing logistical support to terrorists and facilitating various terror-related activities. By erecting a public notice at the site, officials have formally prohibited any transactions involving the seized land.
This latest action is part of an ongoing crackdown by the NIA to dismantle the financial and logistical networks of those involved in regional militancy, with further legal proceedings and investigations currently underway.
