New Badminton Court Opens at Police Housing Colony in Bemina Srinagar
SRINAGAR, May 05 — In a bid to reinforce the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and promote a healthy lifestyle, Anand Jain inaugurated a new badminton court today at the Police Housing Colony in Bemina. The facility is part of a broader effort to encourage physical fitness and disciplined living among police personnel and their families.
During the event, officials noted that providing modern sports infrastructure is a key strategy in the department’s commitment to the holistic well-being of its members and a proactive measure to engage youth in constructive recreational activities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Junaid Mehmood emphasized that sports play a vital role in relieving stress and fostering teamwork. He highlighted that such initiatives are essential for steering the younger generation away from substance abuse and toward more productive pursuits.
