KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Srinagar and Kashmir Divisions; Check Affected Areas and Timings Read detail
SRINAGAR, April 15, 2026:: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has notified consumers of several planned shutdowns across various 33 kV and 132/33 kV lines to facilitate essential maintenance and repair work.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the 33 kV Soibugh Wadwan line will remain shut on April 16 from 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM, impacting electricity supply to Soibugh, Dharmuna, Wadwan, Rasoo, and surrounding villages.
In a similar move, the 33 KV Kremshore line is scheduled for a shutdown on April 18 from 10:00 AM to 03:30 PM, which will affect areas including Arigam, Khansahib, and Branwar. Residents in Ashajipora, Malaknag, and Janglat Mandhi should also prepare for outages as the 33 kV Wanpoh Ashajipora Malaknag DC line will be offline from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on both April 16 and 18.
Further disruptions are expected in the Hiller Shankerpora circuit on April 16, where the tapline shutdown will suspend power to Shankerpora, Larkipora, and adjoining areas between 09:00 AM and 03:00 PM.
Additionally, major urban sectors in Srinagar will face outages due to maintenance at the 132/33 kV GIS Khanyar. This shutdown, scheduled for April 16 and 17 from 10:30 AM to 04:30 PM, will affect critical locations and residential hubs including the Industrial Estate-BAMK, Nowshera, Zadibal, Hawal, Rainawari, and the Psychiatric Hospital, as well as essential services like BSNL and the Central Jail.
KPDCL has advised consumers in these zones to plan accordingly for the temporary service interruptions.
