General Upendra Dwivedi visits Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre to honor regimental legacy

JABALPUR, April 29, 2026:- General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, visited the Regimental Centre of the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles today to engage with personnel and review the training standards of his parent regiment.

During the visit, the army chief addressed a special Sainik Sammelan, where he interacted with all ranks and shared insights on the current operational environment.

He used the occasion to commend the training faculty and administrative staff for their dedication to excellence and their role in transforming young recruits into professional soldiers through rigorous and modern training methodologies.

The visit also served as a homecoming for the general, who spent time at the Regimental Museum, known as the Gaurav Sanghralaya.

While touring the exhibits, he reflected on the storied history, traditions, and the enduring spirit of the regiment that have been preserved through generations.

By reconnecting with his roots and acknowledging the professionalism of the staff, the army chief reinforced the importance of regimental pride and the continuous pursuit of high standards within the Indian Armed Forces.
