Devotees Flock to Udhampur’s ISKCON Temple for Janmashtami, Offer Prayers for Kishtwar Tragedy Victims

Udhampur, 16th August :- ISKCON Temple in Udhampur witnessed an overwhelming rush of devotees on Shri Krishna Janmashtami, as thousands gathered to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna with fervent devotion. The temple, adorned with vibrant decorations, twinkling lights, and floral arrangements, echoed with the soulful melodies of bhajans (devotional songs) and the fragrance of incense.

                           Amid the joyous celebrations, devotees also offered special prayers for the victims of the Kishtwar cloudburst tragedy, which claimed over 60 lives earlier this week. Many stood in solemn remembrance, seeking divine blessings for the speedy recovery of the injured and eternal peace for the departed souls.

                      The festivities saw long queues of devotees, dressed in traditional attire, waiting patiently to offer aarti (lamp rituals) and receive prasad (sanctified food). The event highlighted a harmonious blend of celebration and compassion, as people from all walks of life united in faith and solidarity.
