Awantipora 14 October :- Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora Police have arrested 02 drug peddlers from Pampore area and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
During naka checking at Tulbagh Pampore , Police party of Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Inspector Khalid Fayaz apprehended 02 drug peddlers identified as : Tabish Rafiq Bhat S/o Mohammad Rafiq Bhat R/o Namblabal pampore,Tariq Ahmad Sheikh S/o Ghulam Nabi Sheikh R/o Tulbagh pampore. The arrested persons were moving in a suspicious circumstances and during search, officers were able to recover 80 grams of Charas Powder like substance from their possession.
The arrested drug peddlers have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Case FIR Number 104/ 2025 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
