Army Chief Dhiraj Seth Reviews Combat Readiness and North East Security During Spear Corps Visit

NEW DELHI – July 16, 2026:- The Chief of the Army Staff, General Dhiraj Seth, visited the Spear Corps of the Indian Army to assess the region’s security architecture.

During the visit, top commanders briefed the Army Chief on the evolving operational environment and the strategic measures currently underway to further strengthen combat readiness along the borders.

In addition to evaluating military preparedness, General Seth reviewed various community outreach initiatives led by the armed forces. These programs are designed to foster long-term peace, stability, and socio-economic development across the North East region by building stronger ties with local communities.

Concluding his visit, the Army Chief commended all ranks of the Indian Army and the Assam Rifles for their exceptional professionalism, dedication, and high operational standards. He urged the personnel to remain vigilant, agile, and future-ready to effectively counter the evolving security challenges facing the nation.
