Indian Army hosts specialized women medical camp in Poonch to boost rural healthcare

POONCH, Jul 7: The Indian Army organized a dedicated women medical camp at Behar in the Faisalabad area of Poonch district to provide quality healthcare support and raise awareness about maternal and general health.

The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from local women who received professional medical consultations, basic health check-ups, and specialized counseling covering preventive healthcare, personal hygiene, proper nutrition, and overall well-being.A medical team from the Indian Army, led by a Military Nursing Officer, provided expert care, guidance, and medical advice to a total of 75 women from the remote region who benefited from the camp.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Indian Army toward the welfare of communities living in rural areas, while successfully strengthening goodwill, confidence, and cooperation between the armed forces and the local population by bridging gaps in essential healthcare access.
