Indian Army Surya Command Enhances Welfare Initiatives for Defense Personnel in Odisha
BHUBANESWAR, May 13, 2026:- Lt Gen Harbinder Singh Vandra, GOC Madhya Bharat Area, conducted a high-level visit to the Bhubaneswar Military Station to lead a comprehensive review of essential infrastructure development and ongoing welfare programs.
The visit focused on driving forward initiatives designed to improve the support systems available to defense personnel within the region.During his visit, Harbinder Singh Vandra held a separate meeting with the Chief Secretary of Odisha to deliberate on vital state-led initiatives focused on the rehabilitation, resettlement, and overall welfare of ex-servicemen.
The discussion also covered strategic measures to strengthen support for serving personnel, highlighting a collaborative commitment to responsive governance and seamless coordination between military and state authorities.
