Indonesian Army delegation visits CIJWS Vairengte to strengthen defense ties

VAIRENGTE, May 10, 2026 :- A delegation from the Indonesian Army concluded a five-day visit to the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School in Vairengte, which took place from May 6 to May 10, 2026.

During the visit, the delegation was provided with a comprehensive orientation regarding the school’s specialized training methodology. The program focused on key pillars of jungle warfare, including rigorous physical conditioning, tactical exercises, and modern operational training practices designed for difficult terrains.

The visiting officers were also briefed on the school’s overarching training framework and its critical role in preparing military personnel to face contemporary operational challenges.

This exchange allowed the Indonesian delegation to gain insights into how the facility develops the skills necessary for unconventional warfare and internal security operations.
