DIG Shridhar Patil reviews border security grid and operational readiness in Jammu

JAMMU, May 9, 2026 — Deputy Inspector General of Police for the JSK Range, Shridhar Patil, conducted an extensive tour of the border areas to evaluate the current security scenario and the effectiveness of the existing security grid.

During the visit, the official inspected several remote border establishments, including the areas of Border Police Post Malla Bharore, Jogwan, and Pallanwala. The primary objective of the inspection was to assess operational preparedness, border domination strategies, and the overall security framework implemented along this sensitive belt.

Accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, Joginder Singh, and other high-ranking officers, the DIG engaged with personnel deployed on the ground. He stressed the importance of maintaining constant vigilance and fostering strong coordination among different units to effectively counter infiltration attempts.

Additionally, he highlighted that while maintaining peace in the region is a priority, security forces must also focus on winning public trust through professional conduct and effective community engagement.
